He graduated from the Chemistry Department of Wuhan University with a bachelor’s degree in 2006, and obtained his Ph.D degree in Physical Chemistry from Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2011. He is currently the Vice Director of the Luminescent Materials Department of Grirem Advanced Materials Co. Ltd. and also serves as the Vice Secretary of the Luminescent Materials Branch of the Association of China Rare Earth Industry, and committee member of both the Rare Earth Crystal Committee and the Physical and Chemical Testing Committee of the Chinese Society of Rare Earths. He is a professor of engineering and a tutor for graduate.
He is mainly engaged in research and engineering technology development of high-purity rare earth halides, scintillation crystals, solid electrolytes, and other materials. He has led more than 10 scientific and technological projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program for Young Scientists, the Xiongan Science and Technology Innovation Special Project of the National Key Research and Development Program, and the Key Core Technology Tackling Project of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. He has received one second prize of the China Nonferrous Metal Industry Science and Technology Award (ranked first), published 19 academic papers (15 as the first or corresponding author), filed 29 invention patents (with 14 granted), and led the formulation of one industry standard.
